Former Seattle Seahawks star running back Curt Warner handed off his Vancouver Chevrolet dealership franchise to Alan Webb for an undisclosed price this week. Warner’s inventory of approximately 77 General Motors vehicles, parts and equipment were relocated from his Mill Plain Boulevard facility to Webb’s dealership complex off state Highway 500 and Andresen Road. The cars and trucks will be showcased in and around the larger of two new showroom buildings at the facility. The structure opened in early 2009 for Webb’s Dodge-brand dealership. Webb lost his recently acquired Dodge franchise in June 2009 when Chrysler filed bankruptcy and reduced its dealer network. Dick Hannah Dealerships now sells and services all Chrysler brands in Vancouver.Several former employees of Curt Warner Chevrolet are working for Webb, including GM-certified technicians, sales consultants and administrative employees, said Kamran Panah, a spokesman for Alan Webb, who also sells Mitsubishi, Mazda and Nissan automobiles.“We brought in all of the key people we didn’t have,” Panah said.Webb did not purchase the Curt Warner Chevrolet dealership and showroom. The 16-acre site remains vacant at Southeast Mill Plain Blvd., near Interstate 205. It is expected to be redeveloped.Panah expects shipments of at least 200 more Chevrolets to arrive in the next few weeks. The inventory of 2011 models will include popular makes such as the retro-style Camaro, the new Volt hybrid and diesel pickup trucks with Duramax engines.
