first_imgATHENS – Coming back from a 2-0 deficit, Panathinaikos beat CSKA Moscow 86-85 to stay alive in the Euroleague basketball tourney.The Greens used a barrage of three-pointers in their comeback after being blown out in the first two games in Russia.CSKA led early on, 20-14 after one, before Panathinaikos came back to tie it 34-34 at the half and then turned on the defense in the second half.Playing aggressively, the Greek basketball power, behind the urging of 12,500 fans, took a 45-37 third quarter lead and led by 71-61 in the fourth before the Russian team started clawing back, thanks to American star Sonny Weems, who scored 24 in the game.With the score tied at 85-85, Nikos Pappas clinched the winning free throw with just three second left to insure another game on April 22 at home in the best-of-five series.
