MARK ENGLISH SETS NEW IRISH RECORD IN INCREDIBLE DAY FOR LETTERKENNY AC

first_imgLETTERKENNY AC’s Mark English has broken a long standing Irish record in games in Cardiff on an incredible day for the club as they brought in a 1-2-3 success!Competing in the Celtic Cup he won the junior 800m in a time of 1:48.63, breaking David Matthew’s 1:49.21 set in 1993. The time also qualifies him for the European junior championships in Tallin Estonia in July.Clubmate Darren McBrearty finished second in a time of 1:48.88 which is also inside the standard for the European junior championships.
