Dreaper an Amigos ally

first_imgTrainer Jim Dreaper believes Los Amigos has a “real chance” of victory in the BoyleSports Irish Grand National on Easter Monday. The Dreaper name is synonymous with the Easter Monday highlight, with Jim’s legendary father Tom saddling a record 10 winners of the race, including Fortria (1961), Arkle (1964) and Flyingbolt (1966). Los Amigos has made just one appearance this season, winning at Fairyhouse at the end of January, and his trainer does not expect a step up to a marathon distance of over three and a half miles to be a problem. Dreaper said: “On Los Amigos’ best form he has a real chance. “We don’t know about the extra distance. He’s never tried it before, but he got three miles fine and we’re hopeful everything will be OK. “He’s fresh and seems well and that should stand to him. “He’s had an easy season while some of the others have been busy.” center_img Press Associationlast_img read more
