NCT push for breastfeeding rights at work

first_imgThe National Childbirth Trust is leading a campaign to help mothers continuebreastfeeding on return to work. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act, employers are not allowed to imposeconditions on staff which stop mothers breastfeeding until the baby is 12months old. During this time mothers might be able to negotiate shorter shiftsor be given breaks to express milk in order to help them breastfeed. A booklet is available from the NCT priced £3.00.
